Abstract
Getting the center coordinates of polygons can be very useful for injecting text on these polygons, especially for bump applications. Moreover, if text strings already exist, checking that these texts overlap with the designated polygons can avoid potential problems during the design verification phase.
For both flows, if done manually, could be proven a tedious task especially in full chip designs.
This Support Kit will help use the powers of scripting capabilities to find the center coordinates of extent of any polygon on a specific layer in a specific cell or the text strings that overlap with polygon layers using Tcl-based batch commands, such as $L iterator poly and $L query text, provided by Calibre DESIGNrev
