When we draft a view from part and retrieve a dimension and then try to create a block for the same. It is not possible. Is there any other possible way for the same.

Solution

You can create a block from drawing view by converting it to 2D drawing view. Below are the step.

Steps:
Step 1. Create a drawing of active model or start new draft file.
Step 2. Place desired drawing view in draft sheet.
Step 3. Select the placed drawing view > RMB (Right Mouse Button) Click > Select 'Convert to 2D View'.
Step 4. Select 2D view > RMB (Right Mouse Button) Click > Select 'Draw in View'.
Step 5. Select Block Command and > Select Geometry to add in Block > Select Block - Origin > Type name for Block .
Step 6. The created block can be placed using the Place Block command available from a block's shortcut menu in the Block Selection Pane. All of these methods allow you to set the scale and change the rotation of the graphics before they are placed.
