NX Difficulty selecting faces of solid from IGES or other translation and model display is getting clipped.

Occasionally you may get data in an NX part from a translation like STEP or IGES where it is difficult to select faces on the solid or the display of the solid is getting clipped when you rotate the model.

Solution

The problem behavior can sometimes be attributed to the bodies being located outside of the normal model space (1000 cubic meters) and many times is because you are working with objects translated from a large full scale structure in their staged position.

The solution is to Move or Transform the bodies from their current location back to ABS 0,0,0 in the NX part.
