How to fill in the Description field in the symbol data without database in Solid Edge P&ID Design?

The "Description" field in the symbol data is very important for creating a Solid Edge P&ID schema.  However, the field can, by default, only be filled by the database.  In this scenario, the user does not use this.  Therefore, is it possible to fill the "Description" entry manually?

It is not possible to use this reserved system internal field in any other way.  For users who do not work with a component database, they can simply create and use a custom symbol data field named "Description" in all their symbols - therefore, it will be possible to fill this symbol data field individually and manually for every symbol in a diagram.

In the Following steps, we have added a custom Symbol Data field called "Description" which we can use to write whatever information we need to with the symbol. 

1. From settings launch Text/Symbol defaults 

2. Choose symbol data fields

3. Click on the add "+" button and name the data field "Description"

4. When using symbols in projects or editing symbol definitions from the edit symbol command, you can add the symbol data field from component data.
