In NX2406, the old Define Deformable Part wizard was retired. Deformable parts are now defined using the Template Studio Author Task environment.

How is a deformable routing assembly be created using the new Template Studio Interface?
SolutionThe steps to achieve this are demonstrated in the video and described below.
1) Create the Routing Assembly, in this case there are 2 connectors, linked by a path that has Space Reservation applied (this could just as easily be stock or wires)
2) Select Tools > Parts and Features > Deform > Define Deformable Part
3) Click on Select Feature
4) Select the Space Reservation and OK. It will then be shown in the Template Objects panel
Note: At this point the deformable part is defined sufficiently to be used, however when used it would display a message saying "No template objects" when added to an assembly. To make this more user friendly we can modify the User Interface.
5) Select the Configure User Interface command.
6) Change the title of the dialog as required. e.g. Deformable Assembly
7) Add a Descriptive Label to the dialog. e.g. Please Select OK to Create Deform
8) Select Finish and Save the Assembly
The assembly deformable assembly can then be added as a component and the position of the connectors can be different at the assembly level than in the original part.
