Why Solid Edge 2D Nesting screen appears black

2D Nesting does not have an explicit option to change the background to dark theme, but one exists in a .ini file in the program’s installation folder.

Go to "C:\Program Files\Siemens\Solid Edge 2D Nesting 2025\Preferences" or whatever location 2D Nesting is installed.

In the Preferences folder you will find a settings.ini. Edit it with notepad.

A line in that file defines if the background color is white. Make sure it is set to True.

[Colours]

Whitebackground = True

If this is not present or set as False then background color will appear as Black.
