How to place a center of mass symbol on a drawing.

Solution

To manually place a Center of Mass symbol in Drafting:
1. Select the 'User Defined Symbol' command.
2. Set "Use Symbols in = Utility Directory".
3. Select the 'Datum1' or 'Datum2' symbol.
NOTE: They are the same symbol with opposite quadrants shaded.
4. Select the 'Standalone Symbol' icon in the dialog.
NOTE: Looks like a crosshair.
5. Place the symbol where needed.

To place a Center of Mass symbol from Modeling:
1. Select the 'Measure' command.
2. Set "Object to Measure = Object Set".
3. Under Settings:
Associative = ON
Display Annotation = OFF
Create Geometry = ON
4. Select the solid bodies.
5. In the odometer pop-up that lists all the calculations, make sure that Center of Mass has 'Associativity = ON' and 'Creates Geometry Associative... = ON'.
6. OK the dialog.
A 'Center of Mass' symbol is created.
7. Add this symbol to the MODEL reference set.
[Optional]  You can use 'Edit-->Object Display' to change the color to 'Black'.
8. Now in the Drafting application, the symbol should appear in the drafting view.
