Solution

Importing and Exporting to NX Manager
Importing to NX Manager
1. Note the location of the folder containing all files to be uploaded to NX Manager. This includes drawing and part files.
2. On the NX home page, select File -> Import Assembly Into Teamcenter.
3. On the Import Assembly Into Teamcenter window, select the settings icon in the top right hand corner.
4. Verify ‘Import Assembly Into Teamcenter (More)’ is selected.
5. In the Name and Attribute Conversion group, change the Numbering Source to OS Filename.
6. Under the Default Parameters group, use the desired Default Destination Folder option to specify the folder to import parts into.
7. Under the Import from Folder group, click Select Folder and choose the folder containing all desired files to import. Click OK.
8. In the Part for Import dialog, choose the highest level assembly and click OK.
9. Under Name and Attributes for Parts to Import, verify all desired parts and drawings are visible and all details are correct.
10. Click OK.
11. All parts and drawings will now be imported into NX Manager.

Exporting From NX Manager
1. In the NX window, will all files closed, choose File -> Export Assembly from Teamcenter.
2. On the Export Assembly from Teamcenter window, select the settings icon in the top right hand corner.
3. Verify ‘Export Assembly from Teamcenter (More)’ is selected.
4. Under the Naming group, set the Naming Method to Auto Translate.
5. Under Output Directory, choose Browse and select the desired directory to export the files into. Click OK.
6. Under the Relations group, in Related Parts, verify Drawings is selected.
7. Under the Parts for Export group, choose Add Assembly.
8. In the Add Assembly to Export Operation window, select the top level assembly and click OK.
9. Under Name and Attributes for Parts to Import, verify all desired parts and drawings are visible and all details are correct.
10. Click OK.
11. All parts and drawings will now be exported into the output directory.
