Summary

Details

In NX 2312 and earlier, when adding a reusable component from the reuse library into an assembly, there is an option to define pattern point when using Multiple Add.

In NX2406 and later, the options have changed and the Pattern Point function is no longer available. How is the Pattern Point functionality accessed in NX2406 and later?

Solution

In NX2406 the Add Reusable Component dialog has been modified to provide quick access to the most commonly used options. However, if these options do not match the needs in your specific work flow when adding multiple components, it is possible to enable the Legacy Multiple Add functionality. This is achieved by turning ON the customer default for "Use Legacy Multiple Add" under Reuse Library > General > Reusable Component.

After enabling this customer default the same options for Multiple Add will be available.

You can then use the Pattern Point dialog to access the Positioning Feature dialog including options such as "Use Face Center as Location".
