In Solid Edge Options, under Manage, the "Use Data Management" option is enabled and cannot be disabled.
When you install Solid Edge 2024 or newer, it automatically installs the Siemens Connector which allows you to synchronize your Solid Edge data with Teamcenter Share. With Siemens Connector installed, the folder locations are considered a vault. Therefore, Solid Edge Data Management is enabled by default, and cannot be disabled While Siemens Connector is installed. To resolve this:
- Uninstall the Siemens Connector
- Start Solid Edge and open Solid Edge Options
- On the Manage page, you can uncheck "Use Solid Edge data management"
