When a User loads an assembly with any parts that were marked as Reference Only in the model, would load the latest revision of the part.
Starting in NX 1980 the behavior has changed. Parts that are marked as "reference only" load the revision that was loaded when the "Reference Only" flag was set and the model was saved.
Is there a way to cause the latest revision of referenced parts to be loaded as in the previous versions?
NX 1980, there is a newly added Customer Default setting located at Teamcenter Integration --> General --> General (tab) --> “Honor Precise Term in Revision Rule for Relations”. The default
setting affects the revision selected in cases of reference components and similar components not in the structure
Refer to the Teamcenter Integration section in the "What's new in NX 1980".

As an example, using the "Latest Working" revision rule that assembly will load the component with the revision that was set when the Reference-Only was toggled ON. The "Latest Working" revision rule contains the precise term which is honored in this case. Changing to the "Latest by Alpha Revision Order" revision rule will load the latest revision because that Revision Rule does not
contain the Precise term.
For this example the Customer Default setting “Honor Precise Term in Revision Rule for Relations”
will need to be toggled OFF to see the behavior what was seen in PRE-NX1980 versions.
