Users of Solid Edge may encounter crash scenarios that disrupt their workflow and productivity. Identifying the root causes of these crashes can be challenging due to the complexity of the software and the variety of possible contributing factors. There is a need for a systematic approach to analyze and troubleshoot Solid Edge crash incidents.
Additionally, when immediate resolution is not achievable, there must be a clear process for collecting and forwarding detailed log files to the development team for further investigation. Without such a framework, users may experience prolonged disruptions and the development team may face difficulties in diagnosing and addressing recurring issues.
In this whitepaper, we will explore the analysis of Solid Edge crash and SESysInfo log files, providing guidance on troubleshooting crash scenarios. Our goal is to either resolve these crashes or, when resolution is not possible, ensure the correct logs are gathered and forwarded to the Solid Edge Development team for further investigation.
Drawing on examples from previous Incident Reports (IRs) and Problem Reports (PRs), this document compiles a working knowledge of Solid Edge crash conditions. It aims to serve as a living document, continuously updated with new examples of crash condition files as they are encountered.
