Keep getting a conflicting constraint error when placing assembly relaitionships.

Solution

Look at the part/subassembly that you are trying to constrain the new part to and see if it is over-constrained or has failed relationships. Parts placed in assemblies very rarely need more than 3 relationships (X, Y, and Z) to be fully constrained. If the target part/subassembly you're trying to constrain the new part to has more than 3 relationships you may get a conflicting constraint error. Locate unnecessary relationships and delete them. Any failed relationships found will need to be resolved. In most cases, the quickest way to do this is to delete and recreate the failed relationship.
