How to run Solid Edge in "Safe" mode.

Solution

When troubleshooting Solid Edge issues, including crashes, it is possible to disable all add-ins by running Solid Edge in "Safe Mode". When you run Solid Edge with the /Safe option, any add-ins, especially 3rd party applications, will not start. This will allow you to determine if the add-in is involved in the crash or other anomalies you might encounter.

There are a few ways to enable "safe mode"

1- Command line = C:\"Program Files\Siemens\Solid Edge 2024\Program\Edge.exe" /Safe

2 - If you have a desktop short cut you can modify the properties and add /Safe to the target

3 - Create a batch (.bat) file containing the command line entry. Double-click on the batch file to start Solid Edge in "Safe Mode"
