NX "Flatten Assembly" option has no effect with Import Parasolid.

When import a Paraolid x_t file the "Flatten Assembly" option has no effect. Regardless if enabled or not the structure is flattened.

The Parasolid file needs the necessary information. When you export a NX Assembly to Parasolid from NX with option "Entire Assembly" the "Flatten Assembly" option in import works.
