NX What is the MAXOFF parameter used for in the holder_ascii.def file?

Customer is customizing the holder library functions and notes that the MAXOFF parameter is defined in the .def file, but is not being called anywhere.  What is this used for?

According to the comments in the NX2312 holder_database.dat file, that parameter is in place but not currently being used:

This field can be safely ignored until such time as a future version of NX has this parameter in use.
