Solid Edge Why Comparing Models May Fail in Solid Edge

In this example, you try to compare two models, but Solid Edge throws out the following error message:

"Failed to create graphics preview of comparison". 

What might be the root cause of this issue?

This error message may appear when you directly import STEP Files into a Solid Edge part file and the imported Body Feature has not been optimized.

The solution is to use the Optimize Command, which can be found in the "Inspect" Tab of Solid Edge:

After that the warning symbol in front of the Body Feature in Pathfinder has gone:

Once the geometry of the Part has been optimized, the models can be compared as desired:
