Details

- How to resolve component part revision is not available due to unconfigured revision?

- When loading an assembly in NX/Manager, user sees popup dialog of

The following warnings were issued while loading.

...  - Component part revision is not available due to unconfigured revision, read access, remote object, or deleted object.

- Occurs for only one user.

- The assembly has an imprecise structure in Teamcenter.

- No error messages in the tcserver syslog.

- On the NXMgr side, the NX syslog shows

TC_config_rule_name=All Revisions

- However, in RAC Structure Manager,
  Tools --> Revision Rule shows
  this Revision Rule has Details of just Precise

- Default site preference for TC_config_rule_name is Latest Working

Solution

- To reset user profile to use site preference value,
  clear user preferences for this user
  e.g.

preferences_manager -u="dba user" -p="pwd" -g=dba -scope=USER -mode=clear -target=userid

  where userid is the Teamcenter userid of the one having the problem
  e.g.

preferences_manager -u=infodba -p=infodba -g=dba -scope=USER -mode=clear -target=eng13

- Alternately, if TC command prompt is not available,
  but user desires to set their user default revision rule,
  on the NX Manager side, execute

  File --> Open... -->
  Assembly Load Options --> Load Options...

  and set Revision Rule to desired value

  then under Saved Load Options, Save as Default

- Log out of NXManager.

- Login to NXManager again and confirm default revision rule is reset.
