Details

What is the right workflow when I add a new Solid Edge assembly for Teamcenter Standard Parts?

File system:

The assembly to be added uses the parts and a subassembly from the C:\StandardParts\CustomStandard folder.

When I add the assembly to Teamcenter Standard Parts the database administrator does not create and add the new  subassembly item revision to Teamcenter.  Therefore everything will be parts, while the subassembly will be missing.

Solution

In this case, there are file system links in the managed custom assembly registered as a Standard Part.  These links are then marked as missing which is logical; if you want to add a custom assembly to Standard Parts, then all related parts should be Teamcenter managed.

Correct workflow:

1) Run Add To Teamcenter Interactive to load the Custom assembly.

2) Copy the top assembly file to the Standard Parts Teamcenter folder location.

3) In Standard Parts Database Administrator -> add part

4) RMB -> Open
