When creating a sketch, can create it on a selected plane using "On Plane" option, but is it possible to create it at an offset from the plane, not on the plane?
Currently, after creating a sketch on a specified plane, I use Reattach Sketch function to offset it. This requires two operations, creation and modification, which is time-consuming. I would like to know how to directly offset when creating.
Reproduced Steps:
1. Home tab > Construction group > Sketch
Up to NX 2306, it can only be created on a specified plane. Please use "Reattach Sketch".
However, this can be achieved with "Manual" option, which is enhanced with NX 2406 Series.
This provides a user interface same to "Reattach Sketch" command when creating a new sketch, allowing offsets and other manual operations.
To enable this new function, you must first set "Create Sketch Method" to "Manual" in Customer Defaults.
File > Utilities > Customer Defaults > Sketch > General > Session Settings > Create Sketch Method = Manual
