Solution

The issue was identified as a compatibility problem. The font in question is an OpenType font, and the Solid Edge Text Profile command only supports TrueType fonts.

To resolve the issue, the customer was advised to convert the OpenType font to a TrueType font using a third-party utility. The following steps outline the solution:

1. Install the OpenType Font:

  • Ensure the font is installed on the system.

    2. Convert the OpenType Font to TrueType:

    • Note: The use of third-party utilities is not supported by Solid Edge, and any issues arising from the converted font are not covered.

      3. Install the Converted TrueType Font:

      • Once converted, install the TrueType version of the font.

        4. Verify in Solid Edge:

        • Open Solid Edge and check both the Text Command and Text Profile command to ensure the font is now available in both dropdown menus.
