The preview displayed in the Parts Library Preview window of the assembly does not match the preview image captured in the part file.
This preview display is working as designed. The assembly Parts Library Preview window will not match the image captured in the part file for the preview. The issue occurs when previewing a part file that contains multiple bodies, and the "interactive" mode is enabled in the Parts Library Preview window:
The part file is a multi-body part file:
In the assembly the Parts Library Preview window mode is set to “interactive”:
If the Preview window is interactive then when previewing a part file which contains multiple bodies, only the “Activate Assembly Body” body that is defined in the part file will be displayed in the Preview window. If no “Activate Assembly Body” is defined then the first solid body will be displayed for the Preview:
In order to see the static preview of the part that reflects the captured preview image in the part's File Properties you will need to change the assembly Parts Library pane Preview mode to “Bitmap”.
In the Parts Library pane, right-click and select “Preview...”:
In the Preview dialog change Parts to “Bitmap” and select "OK" to accept the change:
The assembly Parts Library Preview window will now display the captured static image that matches the preview captured in the part file's file properties:
