Solid Edge Change PMI Annotation Color in 3D PDFs Exported From Solid Edge

Users want to change the color of PMI (Product and Manufacturing Information) annotations and dimensions in Part and Assembly models when exporting them as 3D PDFs. Currently, PMI annotations appear blue, and users cannot edit the color through the 'Text and Leader' tab in the callout properties. The option to change color is available and editable in draft mode but not for 3D PDFs. Users need a method to modify the PMI color for 3D PDF export.

To change the color of PMI annotations in Solid Edge for 3D PDF export, follow these steps:

• Open the Part or Assembly File.

• Select  Application Button > Settings > Options > Colors.

• Go to the Colors tab. This setting controls the color of PMI text,

• Change the Sketch color to the desired color for PMI annotations and apply the changes.

Ensure the PMI color is updated in the model. This new color will now be used for PMI annotations in the 3D PDF export.

By following these steps, the PMI annotations will appear in the selected color when exported to a 3D PDF. This adjustment allows users to customize the appearance of their 3D PDFs to meet specific requirements.
