DirectModel JT dataset is not seen on the NX File Open dialog

The following Teamcenter preference has been set:

TC_NX_Foreign_Datasets =

DatasetType="DirectModel" NamedReference="JTPART" NamedReferenceFormat="BINARY" NamedReferenceTemplate="jt"

However, in the NX 'File-->Open' dialog, the DirectModel JT dataset is not shown to open.

With the above Teamcenter preference set, launch NX and go to 'File-->Open'.

If the ItemRevision ONLY contains a DirectModel JT dataset, you should see this dataset to open.

Here, the ItemRevision ONLY contains a DirectModel JT dataset. Notice no UGMASTER exists.

You can see the DirectModel JT dataset in the NX 'File-->Open' dialog.

However, if your ItemRevision contains a UGMASTER dataset AND the DirectModel JT dataset, you will only see the UGMASTER to open in the 'File-->Open' dialog.

Here, the ItemRevision contains a DirectModel JT dataset AND a UGMASTER dataset.

You cannot see the DirectModel JT dataset in the NX 'File-->Open' dialog.
Only the UGMASTER is available.

This is because if a UGMASTER or UGPART dataset exists in the ItemRevision, NX will always open the NX data. Users cannot open a JT file in NX if NX data exists in the ItemRevision.
