Details

When manipulating models or assemblies in Solid Edge, users may experience a drop in frame rate after releasing the middle mouse button. This drop in frame rate can make the cursor movement jarring and unpleasant to use, even on high-refresh-rate monitors. Users have reported trying various graphics settings and updating their GPU drivers without success.

Solution

To resolve the frame rate issues in Solid Edge, follow these steps:

1. Open the Nvidia Control Panel. You can access it by right-clicking on the desktop and selecting "Nvidia Control Panel" from the context menu.

2. In the Nvidia Control Panel, navigate to "Manage 3D Settings" under the "3D Settings" section.

3. Under the "Monitor Technology" option, select "Fixed Refresh" instead of "G-Sync."

4. Click on the "Apply" button to save the changes.

5. Restart Solid Edge and check if the frame rate issues have been resolved.

By disabling G-Sync and setting the "Monitor Technology" option to "Fixed Refresh", you can potentially improve the frame rate performance in Solid Edge.

Note: This solution is specifically for Nvidia graphics card users. If you have a different graphics card, refer to your graphics card manufacturer's documentation or support resources for similar settings.
