Task Manager shows several instances of msedgewebview2.exe, running as sub-processes of the Solid Edge application in tab "Processes", consuming memory.

Solution

This is working as designed.  Solid Edge leverages the Microsoft Edge Webview2 technology.

The Microsoft Edge WebView2 control allows you to embed web technologies (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript) in your native apps. The WebView2 control uses Microsoft Edge as the rendering engine to display the web content in native apps.

WebView2 is a prerequisite for running Solid Edge.  Neither WebView2 nor Microsoft Edge should be uninstalled in an attempt to prevent these sub-processes from running..  Uninstalling WebView2 or Microsoft Edge will result in unexpected behaviour while using Solid Edge.
