NX How to Create Command Favorites in NX?

Is it possible to create a simplified version of "Measure" command in NX?

Yes. You can create command copies with your preferences settings or favorite configuration.

Step by step procedure to create "Command Favorites" in NX using "Measure" command as example:

1. Open command and reset to its default configuration:  

2. Set command options as you need:

3. After setting preferences, collapse groups and access "Command Options" by clicking gear icon on window upper left corner. Then, select "Hide Collapsed Groups".

4. On "Dialog Options" menu select "Save Favorite As" and fill out a name and a description for command favorite copy:

5. Select "OK" button to accept and dismiss both save and measure windows.

6. Add favorite command to NX interface: right click anywhere over NX "Ribbon Bar" and select "Customize...":

7. On "Customize" window drag and drop new command placeholder to interface:
    (1) ->Commands Tab->Categories->New Item.
    (2) ->Items Panel->New User Command.
    (3) ->Drag and drop "New User Command" to place it on NX interface.

8. Configure command favorite:
     (1) Right click over "User Command" instance on NX interface.
     (2) Select "Edit Actions".

9. At "Button Action" window:
     (1) Open "Type" dropdown menu.
     (2) Select "Favorite" on "Type" dropdown.
     (3) Search for the name you gave to your favorite copy on "Favorite" list and select it.

10. Select "OK" to finish adding your favorite command copy to NX interface.
