There may be occasions where you need to reset the Solid Edge Cloud Gateway Authentication. Perhaps it is an issue with logging in or perhaps you simply want to switch the user id being logged in as. How to reset the Solid Edge Cloud Gateway Authentication?

Solution

To force a reset of the Solid Edge User Cloud Authentication.

  • Delete the default web browser history; going back the last 24 hours should be sufficient.
    • Delete all files and folders under "C:\Users\<user_name>\AppData\Local\Siemens\Solid Edge\".

      If authentication is reset correctly the user should be presented with the Siemens Authentication page again when next trying to access the Solid Edge Cloud Gateway:


      NOTE:

      • This workflow is only applicable for Solid Edge 2024 and later versions. 
        • Solid Edge 2023 and earlier versions use a different authentication method.
          • This workflow is safe to use with Solid Edge 2023 and earlier but it will not have the desired impact.
