The provided script is a generic way to completely uninstall Solid Edge, Standard Parts and Microsoft SQL Server when a repair seems impossible or when a clean reinstall is a faster solution. However, it is important to understand the potential risks involved and that performing the following steps is at the customer's own risk.
By following the below steps, you should be able to completely uninstall Solid Edge Standard Parts and start from scratch while retaining the parts.
Solution1.
Make sure to have a backup of the Solid Edge Standard Parts folder before proceeding. With this backup it is save to delete the Standard Parts database because all necessary information to build a new database is in the parts themselves.
2.
Remove programs via Windows Settings > Installed apps:
• Remove Solid Edge Standard Parts Library
• Remove Solid Edge Standard Parts Administrator
• Remove Solid Edge
• Remove all Microsoft SQL Server software
3.
Remove folder from Program Files and/or Program File (X86):
• Delete all 'Microsoft SQL *' folder. This also deletes all local databases!
• Delete all 'Solid Edge *' folder

Remove following registry keys using the Registry Editor:
• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Siemens\Solid Edge
• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Siemens\Standard Parts
• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Siemens\Solid Edge
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Siemens\Standard Parts
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server and
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server *
5.
Reset the user's Solid Edge and Standard Parts settings:
• Remove the folder %APPDATA%\Siemens\Solid Edge
• Remove the folder %APPDATA%\Siemens\StandardParts*
6.
Restart the system (Important!)
NotesNow everything is clean and you can start to install Solid Edge, Standard Parts, the latest Update and add all parts from the Solid Edge Standard Parts folder.
