Details

Customers may encounter an unhandled exception error with the message "String was not recognized as a valid DateTime" when attempting to log in to the Solid Edge Cloud Gateway. 


Solution

Following the steps outlined below should resolve the "String was not recognized as a valid DateTime" error and allow the user to log in to the Solid Edge Cloud Gateway. 

1. Install the latest Solid Edge Update.

2. Force a reset of the Solid Edge User Cloud Authentication.

  • Delete the default web browser history; going back the last 24 hours should be sufficient.
    • Delete all files and folders under "C:\Users\<user_name>\AppData\Local\Siemens\Solid Edge\".

      If authentication is reset correctly the user should be presented with the Siemens Authentication page again when running Solid Edge cloud enabled:
