Solid Edge How to Manage Adjustable Subassembly in an Assembly with Alternate Positions

The user would like to manage an adjustable subassembly in a top level assembly which contains alternate positions.

How to  manage the subassembly variant (open and closed position) from the top level assembly ?

To be able to manage these different positions the user needs to select the subassembly,  then RMB and choose the "Replace Part" command, accept and select from the alternates available within the assembly:
