IGES, DXFDWG and STP translator no longer translated due to error "failed to export"

If these translators has been working previously and suddenly start to fail, check if ANSYS software has recently been installed or upgraded. There is a known issue with ANSYS 2024 R1 causing NX translators to fail.

ANSYS support has confirmed that the name conflict related to the file “tbb.dll” is causing the issue.

As a workaround, copy the “tbb.dll” file from the %UGII_BASE_DIR%\NXBIN folder to the following subfolders:

%UGII_BASE_DIR%\DXFDWG

%UGII_BASE_DIR%\IGES

%UGII_BASE_DIR%\UGTO2D

%UGII_BASE_DIR%\STEP203UG

%UGII_BASE_DIR%\STEP214UG

%UGII_BASE_DIR%\TRANSLATORS\step242
