Summary

Details

A turning tool has an oversized insert clamp which extends beyond the edge of the insert. This clamp causes collisions with the part and with the IPW. Is there a way to change the angle that the tool enters the material to allow the extra clearance required by the clamps?

Solution

Changing the Cutter Clearance Angle will cause the tool to ramp into the groove at a slighter angle. This setting can be used to provide extra clearance needed around the cutting insert.
