NX Combining Holes into Feature Groups Using Find and Group Features

The Part Geometry being programmed has a good many holes that need to be drilled. Is there a quick way to place the identical holes into their own geometry groups?

1. Open the Workpiece and add the Part and the Blank geometry.

2. From the Machining Feature Navigator MB3 the top node and select Find Features.

3. On the Find Features menu set the Search Method as Workpiece.

4. On Features to Recognize deactivate all and select Through Hole.

5. Set Toward Point on the Machining Access Direction pane. This sets the tool axis to the correct direction for each hole.

6. Press Find Features.

7. Select all Features using the Shift Key.

8. MB3 and Group Features.

9. Move the Drill operation under the Feature Group and generate.
