How to Install the NXOpen Wizards into Visual Studio?

Installation of the Wizards

1.       In File Explorer, navigate to the folder containing the Wizard for the desired coding language.

-          Note: The following path can be used to locate the Wizard:

%UGII_BASE_DIR%\ugopen\NXOpenWizard\NXOpen<programming language>Application\

2.       Open the folder and double click on the installer.

3.       Wait for the VSIX Installer to complete initializing.

4.       In the VSIX Installer window, select the desired product to install the extension to.

5.       Click Install.

6.       Wait for the VSIX Installer to finish installing.

7.       Click Close. The installation is now complete.

-          Note: Before using the Wizard, close and restart all target application instances.

Verifying Installation

1.       Open Visual Studio.

2.       Click Continue without code.

3.       In the Visual Studio window, choose the Extensions tab -> Manage Extensions.

4.       In the Manage Extensions window, expand the Installed group.

5.       The installed Wizards can now be seen.
