Text height of PMI Bend callouts on flat pattern view on a drawing have wrong values when the view is scaled. This is manly the case for legacy drawings.

The bend callouts have a text-height of e.g. 23 mm where 2.3 mm is the visual and expected height. This is because the annotations are view dependent in a view with a scale of 1:10 (this example) and and therefore the height is multiplied with the view scale (2.3 x 10 = 23 mm) in order to appear as large as 2.3 mm on the drawing.

How to make the text height settings 2.3 mm as it is expected and not show tiny, but as 2.3 mm on the drawing?

Solution

To set the PMI to text-height according the defaults or preferences for existing drawing you need an additional step.

- First; Edit the view settings: Common > PMI > Inherited PMI = None.  Apply this setting.

- Second; Again, Edit the view settings: Common > PMI >  ... Now other PMI Inherit option show in the dropdown.

Choose

   -   Inherited PMI = Aligned to Drawing (View only)

   -  Show PMI on Drawing = ON

Once applied the PMI is not view dependent anymore and the text-height is not multiplied with the view scale, but according the drawing preference. Edit the PMI on the drawing and Inherit settings does work correct now also.
