Verifying Part File Units
1. In the Top Border Bar, select Menu -> File -> Properties.
2. In the Displayed Part Properties dialog, select the Displayed Part tab.
3. The part units can be viewed in the Units row.
4. Click Cancel.
Importing the Part
1. Open the file that will be imported into.
- Note: All future features made in this part file will use its original units.
2. In the Ribbon, choose File -> Import -> Part.
3. In the Import Part dialog, alter the details as desired.
4. Click OK.
5. In the File Explorer window, select the desired part file with different units.
6. Click OK.
7. Using the options available in the Point dialog box, place the imported part as desired.
8. When all desired parts have been placed, click Cancel.
- Note: Features from the imported part file will appear in the Part Navigator. One way to view a feature’s units is by selecting the feature in the part navigator. That feature’s units can then be viewed in the Details group.
