In this example, a Customer has a Node Locked Solid Edge license assigned to their machine on the License Management site. However, after downloading the new license and assigning it via the License Utility, Solid Edge does not start.
SolutionIn this instance, the customer did not move the downloaded license from the "Downloads" folder. You can see this by checking the SE_LICENSE_FILE environment variable. Consequently, the used path exceeded the maximum number of permitted characters.
Moving the downloaded license to a local folder before assigning it with the License Utility will resolve this issue.
