NX Get old Note menu, (pre-NX 1980), working with an existing drawing

Working in NX Drafting application in NX 2312, when adding a Note to an existing drawing, the legacy Note dialog is displayed.

This happens with some drawings created in earlier versions of NX, but not all.

The expectation is that the simplified (new) Note dialog, introduced in NX 1980 would appear.

NX drawing parts that were created with an NX Font (for example. 'blockfont') as the default will cause the legacy Note command dialog to be displayed, because the 'Note' command in NX 1980 (and later versions) does not support the use of NX Fonts.

To resolve this issue, change the default font stored in the part file drafting preferences, select 'File --> Preferences --> Drafting, Common --> Lettering, Text Parameters group', and change the default font from the NX Font to any desired Standard Font (True Type Font).

Please note: The moment a standard font, for instance "Arial" have been chosen the NX font (ugfonts) "blockfont" is no longer shown in the Text Parameters drop down menu. This is due to a setting in NX customer default, "Drafting --> General/Setup, Miscellaneous tab, Fonts to Use: 'Standard Fonts Only' "

Now, when the drafting Note command is invoked the new Note user interface will be displayed.

The Note command dialog is simplified with most of the functionality accessible via the ribbon bar.

When the part file is saved the new default font will be set and the new NOTE UI will be used from this point onwards.
