Solid Edge Where to obtain the Solid Edge COMPOSITE2 Host ID number ?

When activating a Node Locked Solid Edge License, you need to provide the COMPOSITE2 Host ID number (CID2) for the machine.  Where can that be obtained?

There are two ways to get this:

a) If you have already installed Solid Edge:

Click Start > Siemens Solid Edge License Utility.

Your CID2 is listed in the upper left in the Dialog Box:

Alternatively, you could go to the Program Folder of Solid Edge and open a Command prompt:

After that you enter:

getcid -composite2 

The result looks like this:

b) If you have not installed Solid Edge:

Go to :  Downloads > Siemens License Server 

There you will find the SiemensLicenseServer_v2.4.0.0.hostid_utils.zip:

Download and unzip the file.  There you will find the getcid.exe which you can use in a Command Prompt.
