NX How to configure NX Launch Application button in TC to open NX CAM.

Need to configure NX Launch Application button in Teamcenter Rich Client to open NX CAM. This configuration should be limited to a Particular User Group.

To configure the NX Launch Application Button in Teamcenter Rich Client you need to follow  the below 2 steps.

1. TC_NX_Applications Preference:

      This preference controls the number of application the NX Launch Button can Launch.

  a. Open TC Rich Client and Go to Edit > Options

  b. Search for TC_NX_Applications Preference.

  c.  Edit the Preference and add CAM Single Machine Environment as a new value.

d. Save the Preference.

2. Define the application in the user group.

    With this step, the admin can choose which a user group who can launch NX CAM once NX Launch Application button is clicked.

a. Go to Edit > User Settings

b. Select Group >dba (You can choose any desired User group)

c. Select Client Application > CAM Single Machine Environment

d. Apply

With these two steps the user will be able to open NX CAM using the NX icon in the Rich Client.
