Description column resets to default in File New Dialog

Wanted to display description column in file new dialog while creating new Item.

So, Added Description column using configure option.

But description column disappears every time when new item is created.

The column settings for the File New dialog are only saved to memory if you ‘OK’ the dialog.

If the user configures the File New columns, and then ‘Cancels’ the dialog, the columns will not be saved.

Once you configured the columns in the File New dialog, create a part so you can ‘OK’ the dialog to save the columns to memory.

The File New dialog columns are saved to the user’s UserPreferences.txt file.

For example, this is usually located at: C:\Users\>>userid>>\AppData\Local\Siemens\NX2306

In the UserPreferences.txt file, you will see a registry entry like the following:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Unigraphics Solutions\NX\2306\General\UGManager\FileNewDialog\Manage]

The format for the “Column Headers” entry is:

• Name of Column

• Is the column: On or Off

• Width of column
