We have received reports from Windows 11 users regarding BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) issues after installing a recent KB update.

Problem:
A new Windows 11 update, KB5035853, is causing unexpected BSOD when running certain NX applications. These issues seem to occur during CAM and Drafting operations that utilize specific Graphics methods. However, the root cause is yet to be determined, so it could potentially impact other NX-based operations in CAD, CAM, and CAE applications.
Based on public reports, this problem is not exclusive to NX users, but the cause is still unknown.
Solution:
We are collaborating with Microsoft and conducting internal investigations to identify NX-specific mitigations that can be implemented until a permanent solution for this KB update is released.
In the meantime, we advise customers to avoid installing this KB update or to rollback if it has already been installed in order to minimize any potential impact on your NX users.

Update (May 2024): Our development team has been working with Microsoft and they have indicated that a new KB5036980 resolves this issue.
Limited testing of the Preview of this KB by our development team and some customers have validated this appears to fix the issue.
If appropriate for your site, consider installing KB5036980 at your site when it becomes available, if you have already have the previous update ()KB5035853) installed.
We will continue to monitor this issue and update again if there is any new information.
