Summary

Details

In the “Properties” of “Main Dialog” of PTS, there is “Dialog Initialization”.

How to use the below options of “Dialog Initialization”.

- Run Relinker when this dialog is opened

- Run Part family update on OK and Apply

- Use drop position as the template origin

- Launch redefine constraints

- Allow quick access to the template

Solution

1. Run Relinker when this dialog is opened

When this option is true, the General Relinker command is automatically executed when the Product Template dialog is opened.

Notes

When this option is false, the Product Template dialog is opened without executing the General Relinker command.

2. Run Part family update on OK and Apply

When this option is true, the Update Part Family command is executed when either OK or Apply are clicked.

When this option is false, a normal NX update is executed (without Part Family Updates) when either OK or Apply are clicked.

3. Use drop position as the template origin

When this option is true, the Product Template is positioned at the drop point when dragged from the Reuse Library into the graphics area.

When this option is false, the Product Template is positioned at the absolute origin of the assembly when dragged from the Reuse Library into the graphics area, regardless of the drop point.

 4. Launch redefine constraints

When this option is true AND a template contains saved assembly constraints, the Redefine Constraints dialog will launch before the Template Explorer to facilitate placement.

When this option is false, the Redefine Constraints dialog Is not launched at placement time.

5. Allow quick access to the template

When this option is “No Quick Access”, the Template Explorer is always displayed on drag-and-drop or edit.

When this option is “Conditional Quick Access for Simple Templates” the Template Explorer is suppressed on drag-and-drop or edit if the Product Template is “Simple” meaning a Product Template without assembly components that are also Product Templates.  If [and only if] the Product Template is non-simple, then the Template Explorer is automatically displayed to let the user choose the best entry point for editing.

When this option is “Force Quick Access to the Top Level”, the Template Explorer is never displayed on drag-and-drop or edit.  (The Product Template UI is always displayed directly.)
