NX Unable to save internal spreadsheet

Unable to save internal spreadsheet with the following Excel warning:

It was found that a Microsoft Office update was installed recently, and Excel worked with NX before the update.  The following was captured in the NX syslog:

SPREADSHEET ERROR: caught com error [00000196040390D0]. Failed saving Excel2013 or later workbook into xlsm.

The procedure below resolved the issue.

With NX and Excel shut down, run the unregister_splm_files.bat in C:\Program Files\Siemens\NX1872\INSTALL.  Then, from the Windows Registry Editor, delete the entire keys.

  HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{D99CD578-9510-4014-9161-F01778698159}

  HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Wow6432Node\CLSID\{D99CD578-9510-4014-9161-F01778698159}

Note - you my find one, none or both of the registry keys above.

Finally, run the register_splm_files.bat file in C:\Program Files\Siemens\NX1872\INSTALL.Launch NX to test.
