Details

The installation of the SEDFTTOPDF Dispatcher translator requires an initialization step
to define the parameters to access TEAMCENTER:
- Teamcenter user (usual dcproxy)
- Password for this user
- Group of this user (usual dba)
- Role of this user (usual DBA)
- Teamcenter URL: http://<server>:<port>/<web application>

Therefore the program SEECDispatcher.exe will be used which is located in the
Solid Edge Program folder.


When the validation was successful the parameters are written encrypted to the file
SEECDispatcher.ini in the Solid Edge Preferences folder.

For the initialization a Solid Edge license is needed otherwise the following message will be shown:


The Solid Edge license must support the Solid Edge Programming Interface (API).
If this does not exists the following message will be shown:


A Solid Edge Embedded Client License is also required. It can be included in e.g. Solid Edge Classic.
It does not have to be a separate license.
If this license is not available you will see the error code 0x80004001 as shown below:


The initialization may fail also for other reasons.
The error messages have the following format with different HRESULT codes:
"Error Stack Exception from HRESULT: <error code>"

 The SEDFTTOPDF translator will be delivered with the Solid Edge Embedded Client (SEEC) Feature Package
