NX Object selection using single selection method

NX has a specification (behavior) that when selecting objects in the graphics window, multiple objects are selected in succession, and a new object is added each time an object is selected. Is it possible to use a single selection method like Windows File Explorer? Also, if I want to select multiple objects, is it possible to use the Ctrl key?

This can be achieved by using the customer default "exclusive selection" option.

1. File > Utilities > Customer Defaults > Gateway > General > Selection > Exclusive Selection=on
