There is a known problem in NX 2206, 2212 & 2306 when using both string expressions and PMI within a Part Family. This problem has been resolved in NX 2312.
The NX syslog can be review for the following entry:
*** EXCEPTION: Error code 580014
tag is not of class UGS::EXP_expression but is a UGS::ExpKf::ExpInteger
If the above entry is identified in the NX syslog, the following workaround can be applied:
The setting for "Suppress Retained PMI" can be switched OFF in PMI Preferences while in the Modeling Application to avoid this error.
