NX When exporting STEP, a message "STEP 214 Export Failed" is displayed in the "Notification Center"

When exporting STEP 214, STEP file seems to be created in the specified file, but a message "STEP 214 Export Failed" is displayed in "Notification Center". Is the STEP file created correctly? Also, why is this message output?

Reproduced Steps:

1. Prepare NX part


2. File > Export > STEP... > OK

    Export From:Displayed Part ot Existing Part

    Export To:specify a folder including double byte characters as STEP file



Solution

This behavior is due to NX problem that only occurs in NX 2206 series and has been fixed in NX 2212 series.

However, the wrong message is simply being output. Kindly check the created log file and if there is no error output, STEP file is created successfully and is reliable.

Workaround: avoid folders that contain double-byte characters, such as Japanese, as the output folder.

Notes

This issue occurs not only with AP 214, but with all application protocols (AP 203, AP 242).
