Storing and Using CAM PAX Files in Teamcenter

Step by Step procedure in implementing the use of PAX files in NX Managed Mode. PAX files are stored in the Teamcenter database.

Step 1 - Please review the attached video before proceeding. 

Step 2 - If the preference does not exist...you must create it. Please see image below...

Step 3 - With the "Definition" tab selected ...be sure the "Name" field = TC_NX_FileNewPAXFiles

Step 4 - The "Category" field is set to "General"

Step 5 - The "Mulitple" field is set to "Multiple"

Step 6 - Add the Item/Rev of the Item that is storing the PAX files.

Step 7 - Create a folder to organize your "pax" files. Please see image below...

Step 8 - Select the folder and create the new "ITEM" for each unique pax file. Please see image below...

Step 9 - Select the "ITEM" revision of each ITEM in order to create the dataset that will hold the individual datasets

Ste 10 - Each dataset will hold "Text". You will import the appropriate pax file into the dataset.
